It's a Hard Knob Life

Knobs, pulls , knobs, and more knobs........ for such a small item, you would never think cabinet hardware could be such a huge decision. In the last week I have seen more cabinet hardware then I ever thought existed. It can really make a big difference in the way the cabinets look and can get pricey. The higher quality and better looking hardware is more expensive and woule be a good choice for a kitchen or a bathroom that would be used often. However, places like laudry rooms and small closets dont need these expensive. At EMB, they are just about to finish a new construction and and renovation so its down to the final details, like cabinet hardware....... and this is where I come in. It's been my job to find the prices put together a "picture packet" of the differnet types of hardware and where it will be used to show the client. I get to flip through the books and find cheaper hardware that compilemts the expensive ones. After trying to find several differnet types of cabinet hardware in 3 different books, I've just about memorized all the differnet style name and prices. I feel as if I am now a cabinet hardware expert. That's one thing down, now I only have a 999,999 more to learn.....
