Last week was crazy busy! Ellen is hard to keep up with, she always jumps from project to project so quikly. Our main focus this week was a few clients with new construtions. So much work and decison makin goes into everything, and some clients are better at making decsions then others. Each client is vastly different in taste, budget, and how they make decsions. One of Ellens main clients right now is about to finish building an extravagent new home and they have started working on furniture seletions. This particular client is very visual and she likes to see examples of everything. We went to her house the Friday to mark drawers for her cabinet hardware to be installed and speak with the eletritian about hanging the light fixtures, she was there to make sure everything was done exactly the way she wanted it. We showed her some furiture ideas for her bathroom vanity and her breakfast room, which resulted in us making "furiture" out of boxes and equipment laying around so that she could see realistic sizes. She likes to see everythig to get an idea of how it will look and if she will like it so that she can make decisions. She spends alot of time making sue that everything going into her new home is perfect and exactly what she likes. Another of Ellen's clients is the polar opposite, she loves anything we show her. Her consultatios last only a few minutes because she makes decsions so quickly an easily. We give her a few options, she says her favorite and thats it. Very simple! Yet another client spents 5 hours in the studio deciding whether she wanted real or fake marble flooring and where it would go in her new house. Every client is different and learing how to work with them a getting a feel for what they like and dont like an be a challenge.
